Diablo II is an action role-playing game (ARPG) developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment. It was first released for Microsoft Windows and Mac OS in 2000 and became one of the most popular and influential games in its genre.

Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction is the expansion for the action role-playing game Diablo 2. It was released in 2001 by Blizzard Entertainment and is considered a highly collectable item among fans of the Diablo series and video game collectors.

The expansion continues the story of Diablo II, where Baal, one of the Prime Evils, is on a quest to destroy the Worldstone, an ancient artefact that protects the world of Sanctuary from the forces of Hell. Players travel through Act V, battling Baal's minions and ultimately confronting Baal himself to prevent the destruction of the Worldstone.

The expansion set introduced significant content to the base game, including a fifth act, two new character classes (the Assassin and the Druid), new items, weapons, and quests. The expansion further enhanced the gameplay experience and extended the storyline of the original Diablo 2.

The Diablo 2 expansion is not content to merely add on additional levels, the Diablo II: Lord of Destruction expansion pack improves the entire Diablo II game experience and concludes the story. The expansion has been described as both an "add-in" and an "add-on", and it truly is a must-have for Diablo II fans.
