You are investing in a precious example of Miniature Craftsmanship. Peter Bates Miniatures is a small family business which has specialised in the production of framed miniature pictures since 1974.

“Roses in Cameo,” from the miniature world of Peter Bates Ltd. An exquisitely detailed vintage (1970’s) cameo wall hanging / plaque, mounted in a delicate brass frame under convex glass. It has its original label, and measures 75 mm in diameter.

In terms of value / collectability, I can assure you that whilst there are brand new examples available on the internet, this one certainly is not. I am unable to guarantee the date of manufacture, but I am the third person to come into possession thereof.

I am not a specialist in the field, merely a very enthusiastic collector of “uniques” since childhood. Therefore, information provided in the description is aided by careful internet research, most of which I found on more than one reputable website.

Regarding item condition: I prefer that you decide for yourself. I trust you will find the pictures sufficient to this end.

As far as I can tell, it is not missing any parts, nothing is broken, no damage etc; the most obvious ‘flaw’ is some slight oxidation of the metal.

Regrettably – no box.

You are very welcome to contact me with questions.
