Collection of vintage hand tools, consisting of two pairs of long-nosed lasting/pincer pliers and heavy-duty metal cutter. The cobbler/Lasting pincers (left & Right) Originating as specialty leathercraft tools in the 1700's and 1800's, their uniquely long jaws and tapered profiles were purposefully designed to let shoemakers reach deep into thigh spaces, tightly pulling raw upper leather tautly across a wooden footwear last.  The compound shears / Cutters (Center) These manual cutters reached design maturity during the early-to-mid 20th century to meat automotive, aviation, and structural wiring demands.
