Up for auction is a classic, South African-made Policansky Monarch 2010 multiplier fishing reel. This is a highly sought-after, legendary workhorse for rock-and-surf or spinning enthusiasts. 
  • Serial Number: B1050 (Stamped clearly on the foot)
  • Mechanical Condition: 10/10. Excellent, crisp working order. It was hardly used and has spent most of its life safely put away in storage. The spool has an incredibly free run, the clicker is loud, and the mechanical assembly is tight. 
  • Drag System: The original cork drag system is fully functional, completely dry, clean, and yields smoothly without shuddering. 
  • Cosmetic Condition: 8/10. Shows a few minor, superficial scratches on the outer casing purely from being shifted around in long-term storage. There is no structural damage, heavy rash, or deep corrosion. []
This reel is a prime example of South African angling heritage, perfect for a collector's display case
