Vintage Porceleyne Fles Royal Delft " Bilderdyk" Wall plate. (dated 1952)

This charming Dutch Delft wall plate bears the inscription " Weldadigheid heeft grooter zoet. Dan al 't genot van d' overvloed"

- an excerpt from a poem by the well known and loved 19th Century Dutch poet Willem Bilderdyk.

This is an authentic piece of Royal Delft 'Porceleyne Fles', as is visible by the stamp of authenticity clearly visible at the back - the 'fles' over the letters JT. The date mark 'B.W' indicates it was made in 1952.

These plates are rare items.

The plate is in excellent condition. There are no chips or cracks. There is age related crazing throughout the glaze.

An absolute must have for the collector!
