A fine quality folding knife by Pradel Auvergne.  Opens and shuts smoothly.  In good vintage condition.

First produced in 1867, these knives were originally used by sailors and farm workers in maritime regions, mainly Normandy and Brittany, before becoming popular in other regions as well. Today, many types of knife still bear this name that consumers consider synonymous with quality.
