Vintage Pyotts Biscuit tin 1940s or earlier from Cape Town Biscuit Mill

Hi you are bidding on my

super big Vintage Pyotts Biscuit tin from the 1940s or earlier.

This big tin/bin was probably made/filled with yummy biscuits from the old Cape Town Pyotts Biscuit Mill, down town Woodstock/Salt River (now the well known and popular Biscuit Mill market and business and shopping complex). In fact I actually have this bin/tin on display in a collectors memorabilia store right next door to the Biscuit Mill.

The tin itself is in rough state as the paper labels are slowly falling apart. This is very common as most of these tins seen today no longer have any reference to their original paper labels. But this tin still has its original labels now 70-80s year old.To the new owner, they need to make sure that this item will be stored in a safe damp free area (not like Cape Town) where this item can be taken cared of and displayed properly.

I phoned Pyotts head office and the item was offered to them and despite that they didnt have this exact tin in their boardroom display the close minded brand manager could not see the importance of them having the tin in their archive. They even admitted that they dont even have a tin as old as this one. Quite sad if you ask me as they are obviously not interested about their brands history, just about $$$$ sales.
