Vintage Record No. 3 hand plane - Pattern 4. This old Record plane dates between 1952-1957. It is made from cast iron with beech handle and knob. The plane has a solid disc on the lower end of the lateral lever with "RECORD" marking, straight sided flat machined cutter seating, the cutter has a straight top with angled sides and marked "RECORD, Made in England, Best Crucible Cast, Tungsten Steel" and has a chamfered frog screw and alternative plated lever cap. The plane is in good working condition - small chip at the top of the handle. Great buy for the carpenter.
