Title: Vintage Ridgway "Meadowsweet" Ironstone Dinner or Display Plate. Manufacturer: Ridgway, Made in Staffordshire, England. Diameter: 25.0cm. Info: A plate, most likely from the late 1970's, with a "Genuine Hand Engraved" design from Ridgway with the Meadowsweet pattern of a Coutryside village scene. A scalloped edge plate with ridges on the outer rim. Ridgway Potteries was a British pottery manufacturer from Stoke-on-Trent that produced mainly high quality earthenware from 1790s through to the mid twentieth century. The firm was established by Job Ridgway (1759-1813) and his brother George (c. 1758-1823), who together established a factory at Hanley in 1794. Ridgway Pottery later merged with the Booths & Colclough China Company during the 1940s, and later became a part of Royal Doulton in 1972. Condition: Very Good, as new, never used as there are no scratch marks on the plate surface, the scalloped edges and pattern are in very good condition, no issues at all. Price: R 235.00 Inc Vat.
