This item has connections with one of South African largest companies.

6 Gas supply companies came together and formed a single company, under the name of Allen Liversidge Industrial Gases S.A./1927 Proprietary Limited. In 1930 the name was changed to African Oxygen.

This item must have been a gift item which was given to their clients before the name was changed.

It is made of copper. The surface has become tarnished and needs expert restoration. The numbers do change but not always in consecutive order, so that will also need attention.

On the back it lists the products the company supplies, Oxygen, dissolved acetylene, oxy-acetylene equipment, nitrous oxide and hydrogen.
