Info: An Exquisite piece from Royal Doulton produced between 1946 and 1975 with the marking HN 1988 on the base with the Royal Doulton stamp.
A classic Royal Doulton figurine in red and pink, wearing a Paisley shawl and blue bonnet with a matching umbrella, it was designed by Leslie Harradine in the mid 1940's and was produced by Royal Doulton.
Royal Doulton is an English ceramic and home accessories manufacturer founded in 1815. Operating originally in Vauxhall, London, later moving to Lambeth, in 1882 it opened a factory in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent, in the centre of English pottery. 
From 1853 to 1902 its wares were marked Doulton & Co., then from 1902, when a royal warrant was given, Royal Doulton.
The HN numbering sequence is named after Harry Nixon (1886-1955), head of the Royal Doulton painting department who joined Doulton in 1900.
Condition: Excellent, as new, a well cared for piece, there are no faults on the figurine at all.
