Diameter: 32mm, With Loop for attachment to Chain or Ribbon.
Weight: 17 grams.
Obverse: Rescue of swimmer with shore in the background with lettering around.
Lettering: THE ROYAL LIFE SAVING SOCIETY ESTABLISHED 1891
Reverse: Circle for engraving recipient's name and lettering around.
Lettering: QUEMCUNQUE MISERUM VIDERIS HOMINEM SCIAS  AWARDED TO
Translation English: "Whomever you see in distress, recognize his humanity."
Inscription: "Awarded to A.C. Barnes, Dec 1934."
Info: The Bronze Medallion was the flagship award of the Royal Life Saving Society UK until 2012. It was open to those age 14 years of age and over, and consists of resuscitation, theory questions on water safety, self rescue, and rescue principles, and a practical swimming pool based assessment.
Condition: very Good, a well cared for item, no scratches, in protective leather pouch.
