VINTAGE SAPPHIRE AND DIAMOND 9CT YELLOW AND WHITE GOLD RING. 375. *JEWELLER'S EVALUATION R17'000*
This vintage 9ct gold piece bears a central, round cut deep blue sapphire measuring 4,5mm in diameter claw set in white gold. This is flanked by 2 x brilliant cut small diamonds (colour: K-L, clarity I1 - I3), claw set in white gold. The polished gold shank is 9ct yellow gold, crossing over on the ring head, creating a cupped display for the sapphire. Openwork on the sides of the gem settings allows light through. The ring head measures 7mm long x 11mm wide and the piece weighs 2,8 grams. The piece is hallmarked with the jeweller's signature, the date 1980, the London Assay mark and 375 for 9ct gold. It comes with an independent Jeweller Authentication and Valuation Certificate for Insurance Purposes of R17'000.
