SAPPHIRE AND SILVER TOPAZ 14CT YELLOW GOLD RING WITH UNUSUAL RING HEAD DESIGN. 585. * JEWELLER EVALUATION R15'000 *

 This elegant piece is crafted in 14ct yellow gold, featuring a central, 3,8mm round cut deep blue sapphire, claw set flush within a square gold ring head setting. This is flanked by 2 x 2,85mm round cut silver topaz (a natural white/clear gemstone) held in decorative geometric claws. The cut and colours of the gemstones is striking. The shank is narrow, flat, and widening to the 4mm long x 13mm across ring head. The galley has a star burst engraving below the sapphire, and this is flanked by the looped openwork below the claws that hold the topaz. The piece weighs a good 3,5 grams and bears the 585 hallmark indicating 14ct gold. I had the piece authenticated and valued by an independent jeweller at R15'000; a certificate to that effect will accompany the ring. A classic design - with a twist!
