Vintage Siemens GPO/HPK field telephone. Field telephones were usually used for communication in the field during wartime. I am not too sure what era this telephone is from - possibly WW2. The telephone is encased in an aluminium case with a leather carry strap. It has GPO/HPK embossed on the lid, and was manufactured by Siemens as can be seen on the receiver. The phone seems to be complete having a crank handle outside, the working parts, receiver and connection wiring on the inside. It is in relatively good condition for its age - a few age dings on the casing. A great buy for the collector.
