Vintage Sterling Silver and Enamel Sprite and Shell Brooch, circa early 20th century. It has milgrain detail on the edge of the shell. Small size: 27mm wide. Weight: 7.65g. Marked: "Stirling Silver Made in England". It features a silver sprite sitting in front of an enameled fan-shaped shell. The enamel's condition is very good. It still has the original C-clasp. Selling it unpolished with decades of original patina visible on the backside. NOTES: A sprite is a fairy like creature who lives by the water and is said to have power and control over water and the weather.
