Vintage Silver, Marcasite and Citrine Brooch 

This very pretty, good quality, oval solid silver and marcasite brooch, from the 1950/60's, is set with a large oval citrine stone, which has a lovely rich yellow colour and has been beautifully cut. The silver brooch was probably made in Germany or Austria, as it is stamped '935' on the back, which was a grade of silver often used by those countries. The '935' stamp represents the grade of silver out of '1000', this grade is known as 'Argentium', which is slightly higher than '925' (sterling).The brooch has no stones missing, is fitted with a secure pin with roll over clasp and is in excellent condition. It measures 4,2cm x 3,1cm.
