Silver Model of the Taj Mahal
On offer this fabulous and rarely seen item! A vintage silver model of the Taj Mahal with wonderful and realistic detail upon a carved wooden base. It was sold to me as "Indian Silver" and an acid test shows that it is silver. The Taj Mahal is not attached to the base, it only rests on it. The Taj Mahal weighs 260g and with base weighs 560g. Assembled, it stands 13.5cm tall. The base measures 14x14cm, the Taj Mahal measures 13x13cm and stands 10cm tall. The wooden base has 2 chips and a crack that runs through it, though still intact. Marked "YK" on the underside of the Taj Mahal. The middle tower lifts off and the silver underneath it is very clean, as is the underside of the base, I have not polished the Taj Mahal as it has a nice patina, the buyer must decide if it should be polished.
