Standing on three bun feet and designed with a pierced metal verge, this item is a vintage silver plated display or presentation basket fitted with a swing handle which has a scroll design at the top matching the scalloped portion of the rim at either end of the basket.

Yeoman of England Company in Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire was a business established in 1897. It is now a division of Douglas Pell Silverware (founded in 1972). The business concentrates on making silver plated items, both in giftware and tableware. It is the silver giftware supplier to Harrods and other prestigious names world-wide, including Asprey & Garrard, Royal Palaces, Liberty, Fortnum & Mason, Goldsmiths.

The basket is impressed on both sides of the bowl underneath the rim by the handle attachment Yeoman Plate EPNS Made in England.

The basket has vintage patina and requires polishing, plate loss has also occurred within the well, aside from which the basket is in very good usable condition.
