I have some large items on auction this week, all for collection ONLY, so take advantage of these sales now -

SOLID VINTAGE WOODEN BENTWOOD CHAIR IN RED BEECH WITH RATTAN SEAT AND SPINDLE BACK

This is more than likely the Thonet design No. 98. However, I am not 100% certain on the wood being Beech, because they did work in all kinds of wood and this beautiful chair has been oiled a lot over the years so has gotten this gorgeous colour, but I am 95% certain. Has a reinforcing bracket under the seat.

Height: 82cm, width: 39cm, Seat: diameter 40cm, Seat height from floor 41cm

Condition: Amazingly excellent. the rattan is intact, absolutely no breaks. However, The one leg at the bottom front is thinner than the other one, seems to have shaved off a piece. see pic. I got it this way and I have had this chair for 36 years. It is much much older though. Please see all pics because they form part of the description.
