Based on the high resolution photographs provided, I have assessed the condition of this chest of draws which is recorded in the description.
I have no knowledge of wood or what wood was used to manufacture this chest, I am only familiar with pine wood the rest is beyond me.

Product Description
Add a touch of classic vintage character to your home with this solid wood chest of drawers. Featuring a beautifully curved top gallery backboard, two smooth-running top drawers, and a unique lower storage configuration with drop-down doors, this piece offers fantastic bones for a restoration or upcycling project.
The wood grain has a lovely natural pattern and would respond beautifully to a deep oiling and some TLC. Please review the detailed condition report and measurements below before bidding/purchasing.
Condition Report
This item is sold as-is with visible wear, making it an ideal piece for collectors, furniture restorers, or DIY enthusiasts:
Wood Condition: The wood is overall very dry and will require nourishing furniture oil or wax. The sides of the chest are in good, sturdy condition.
Top Surface: Features a beautiful solid wood top section. There is a visible burn mark on the front-left corner, and the wood is starting to split slightly on the top panel (as shown in the detailed photos).
Top Drawers: Both upper drawers open and close smoothly. The original pull handles are completely secure and function as required. There are vintage water stains on the interior wood of the drawers.
Lower Storage Compartments: The middle and bottom shelf doors open downward but do not close completely securely at present. The original locks for these compartments have been removed.
Interior Shelving: Built using solid wood shelving panels that feature a uniform pattern of small holes.
Back Panel: A combination of pegboard and hardboard has been utilized as the back cover.
