VINTAGE SOUTH AMERICAN CIGARETTE/CIGAR BOX

Box is in very good condition apart from a few slight marks in the varnish on the lid that can be sanded out if desired.
4 Rows each accommodates 10 cigarettes or small cigarillos and folds flat when the lid is closed.
I am assuming this was made for hand rolled Cigarettes/ cigarillos because normal filter cigarettes are too long to be placed in the top two rows, not fitting into the box when the lid is closed.
It however works perfectly when normal length cigarettes are placed in the lower two rows or with plain cigarettes in all 4 rows.
The lid displays the continent of South America, created with wood inlays.
The same technique was used for the decorative border along the base.
The outside measurements are 18cm x 13cm x 8.5cm.
