A genuine Southern Railway parcel label issued at Waterloo Station (No.16, S.1) with a pre-decimal fare of 3d (three pence). This authentic piece of British railway ephemera features the original printed layout, bold 3d fare, and serial number 1817, along with a purple cancellation/date stamp reading 4 SEP.

Southern Railway operated from 1923 to 1947, and handled huge volumes of parcel traffic through major hubs such as London Waterloo. Most of these labels were discarded after delivery, making surviving examplesespecially with station details and date markingshighly collectible.

The clear Waterloo station header, along with the crisp fare type and purple stamp, gives this piece excellent display appeal.
