SPANISH COLADA DEL CID SWORD

Vintage reproduction - display sword

The sword is in excellent condition, no rust, only needing a good polish.

It appears to be of fairly good quality, with a blunt carbon steel blade, a solid brass hilt and brass plated pommel and guard.

Total length of the sword is 101cm. The blade measures 84cm long and is 4cm wide at the widest point, having a thickness of 3mm along its full length.

The markings read "Colada Del Cid" (roughly translated as forged pure from different metals, belonging to Cid, and displaying the coat of arms of Toledo Armas (Toledo weapons factory).

The markings are etched or painted, not engraved.
