This Stanley No. 66 Beading Plane body is one of the very early versions, as evidenced by the inclusion of the Patent Number (Feb.9.86) on the front.
Stanley No. 66 Hand Beaders were made from 1886 to 1941. They came with two fences, one for round work and the other for straight work. They also came with 8 cutters.
They are an extremely accurate adjustable tool used by cabinet makers, boat makers and the like for fine beading, reeding, fluting, and light duty routing. It is known as the premier tool for scratch beading on straight or curved surfaces. It has proven popular for these reasons, plus because when cutters are needed it is possible to cut up an old saw blade to make any shape cutter required.

Note to overseas buyers: Price excludes overseas postage. I am prepared to quote for postage costs, and insurance if required, which will be at cost.
LOCAL SHIPPING: Most convenient to me is PostNet to PostNet. If you want alternative shipping the cost will depend on a quoted price. If buying more than 1 item, the combined parcel size and weight could impact shipping cost. If this results in a cost that exceeds the R100 indicated for small to medium packages then the cost will be adjusted to the actual shipping charge. Also, where a packages size and/or weight pushes the actual cost beyond R100, the rate will be adjusted accordingly.
