Vintage Stanley No. 78 duplex rabbet plane with fence & depth gauge in box. This old English made plane dates to the 1970s. It has two positions for the cutter: the rear position for regular work and the forward position for bull- nose work such as "stopped rebates". When used in the usual rear position, the cutter is adjustable for depth of cut. The plane has both an adjustable fence and depth gauge. It is in good working condition - looks hardly used and in original box (box is shabby). Great buy for the carpenter.
