Vintage Stanley Sweetheart No. 55 Combination Plane - With Set Of Cutters

On the Woodcraft website there is a well written post entitled "THE STANLEY NO. 55: KING OF COMBINATION PLANES".

This particular 'King of Combination Planes' is a vintage Stanley Sweetheart No. 55, made in the USA. It could do with a slight clean-up and there are a few parts missing. It is in a good condition though and comes with 54 of the original 55 Sweetheart cutters in their original 4 boxes. The cutter that is missing is the one on the extreme right of Box 3. A previous owner made a rustic lidless box to house the cutters which makes for convenient storage and care.

The cutters alone are hard to come across if one looks to buy them separately. To have such a good set of 54 cutters in their original set of 4 boxes is fairly rare.

The parts that are missing include the short arms, the cam stop and a few others that have mainly to do with depth stops and cutting guides.
