Surveyors tripod made by Cooke, Troughton & Simms - was used with a theodolite. It stands at 100cm in height at lowest setting and weighs about 6-7kgs. All the hardware bits are brass but had been painted over with grey enamel paint. I had been in the processing of cleaning it up/refurbishing it but no longer have the time/tools/patience! A beautiful piece to restore fully and use as the base for a lamp or telescope. Please see photos for detail of condition.

It has all the parts both wood and brass except for two small brass nuts used as stoppers on the tripod leg (doesnt affect the aesthetic as these are on the inside - see last two pics).
