The Rooster of Barcelos, is a symbol of justice. The legend tells the story of a pilgrim who was wrongly accused of theft at Barcelo and was sentenced to death. After a prayer, he brought a roasted rooster to court, saying it will crow when he will be suspended. The judge took the rooster along to the suspension and... The rooster began to crow, and the pilgrim was liberated.
