Crotal bells, also known as rumble bells, were used on horse-drawn vehicles before motorised vehicles were common.

This lovely brass Victoria No 23 crotal bell on a ribbon is in a good vintage condition, is marked as VICTORIA NO23 and is functional.

The bell measures at about 5.5cm in height and about 4cm in diameter.
