VILLEROY AND BOCH ORNAMENTAL PORCELAIN DISH WITH NAIVE ART PAINTED LID. DELIGHTFUL!

This pretty piece is a wonderful example of Villeroy and Boch decorative porcelain. The white porcelain lid features a bride and groom in an outdoor floral meadow scene, painted in a naive style, simplistic and whimsical. The lid is signed 'Laplau 6'. The image has a thin black circular border that is repeated 3 times. The lid measures 8cm in diameter and slightly domed, the surface smooth and glossy. The white porcelain dish itself is 7,4cm in diameter x 4cm high, and features a black line around the lower portion of the dish, tying back to the borders on the lid. The lid fits snugly. The underneath features the Villeroy and Boch hallmark, and indicates that the item is dishwasher safe. Excellent condition. A delightful collector's piece.
