This elegant vintage fruit spoon is a genuine piece of mid-century British silversmithing, beautifully crafted by the highly reputable and historic maker Viners Ltd (Edward Viner). Stamped with a complete, authentic set of British hallmarks on the reverse, the spoon features the 'E.V' maker's mark, the Sheffield Assay Office crown, the iconic Lion Passant guaranteeing 92.5% solid sterling silver purity, and the stylized date letter 'P' for the year 1957. Boasting a distinctive pointed, tapering bowl designed for cleanly slicing and scooping citrus fruit, it is finished with beautiful scalloped shoulders and a classic Old English Tipped handle. Weighing a substantial 27.2 grams of solid sterling silver and measuring 13.5cm in length, this highly collectible piece features a lovely natural patina and minimal surface wear, making it an excellent investment for flatware collectors or silver enthusiasts alike.
