Maker: William Gilpin, Wedges Mills, Staffordshire, England Period: Estimated late 19th early 20th century (c. 1880s1940s) Blade: Forged carbon steel, aged with natural patina Handle: Original turned wooden handle, secure fit Size: Standard butchers cleaver (dimensions on request) This cleaver was made by one of Englands most respected edge tool manufacturers. Gilpin tools were renowned for their toughness and exported across the British Empire. Perfect as a collectors piece, display in a kitchen or man cave, or for careful restoration.
