DESCRIPTION:
 
A glazed ceramic small ginger jar and cover, decorated with four tube-lined and
hand-painted coral hibiscus and green leaves on an olive green ground. The hibiscus
pattern was designed by Walter Moorcroft in 1949, this jar is the later version
of the design as the original version's bud was dropped in the early 1960's.
 
MARKS:
 
Impressed Moorcroft. Hand-written artist's initials O and B. Oval
foil paper label printed in black: Moorcroft and England. These labels
replaced those bearing The Royal Warrant which expired in 1978.
 
CONDITION:
 
No chips or cracks, with some fine crazing.
 
DIMENSIONS:
 
Approximately 8.5 cm diameter X 11 cm height.
