Vintage Wizard Jar wrench made of metal. Designed for opening stubborn jar lids.  This one is well used and is a little loose, needs to be tighten again and will be all good to be used again.  This is an iconic piece of American mid-century kitchenware that reflects the mid-20th century boom in home canning and food preservation. The idea to invent the jar wrench was born out of pure physical necessity and frustration following to massive boom of home food canning in the late 19th and early 20th Centuries. In 1919, an inventor named Oscar Arndt filed a patent for a dedicated, adjustable "Jar-opener" explicitly designed to safely unthread caps from Mason jars and eliminate standard kitchen struggles.

Garlic crusher: 1950 - Sysset patented his cast aluminum design and launched the world's first mass-marketed garlic press under the name "Susi" The tool became an instant global phenomenon, prompting Syset to close his bike repair shop and officially found the famous kitchenware brand Zyliss History in 1951.  A portmanteau combining his last name (Zysset) and his hometown (Lyss)
