Vintage wooden crate -Mobil oil

Vintage wooden crate was produced by the Vacuum oil company of South Africa (pty) Ltd.  It was designed to hold 6 x 1-gallon tins of Mobil oil, commonly used for automobiles or farm machinery. Please see pictures as the crate is not in mint condition and has some damages.

Vacuum oil was founded in 1866 by Matthew Ewing and Hiram Bond Everist.  They accidentally discovered thigh quality petroleum lubrication while attempting to distill kerosene.  In 1899, Vacuum Oil developed the "Mobil" trademark, "Mobil oil" followed shortly after, intentionally engineered for internal-combustion automobile engines.
