Vintage wooden mirror with broad carved border

VINTAGE WOODEN MIRROR WITH BROAD CARVED BORDER

Again I don't know what wood it is. it's a beautiful mirror though, with carved border.

40cm square 2cm thick - border 7cm

Condition: Excellent, However, there is a small piece of wood missing, see pic. I have had this for about 30 years or so.
