Vintage wooden valve portable radio - working. I think this may be a PYE radio (unfortunately the name has fallen off), and would estimate that it dates to the 1930s. It is manufactured from solid wood (looks like teak). The tuning, fine tune band and volume buttons are on the front, and are manufactured from bakelite. The display panel shows world cities clustered in bands. The radio measures 45cm (w) x 30cm (h) x 19cm (deep). The radio works, but it must be remembered that it only picks up Medium/ short wave stations. It is in good condition. Lovely buy for the collector.
