VINTAGE YELLOW CARLTON WARE BERRY DRAINAGE BOWL & UNDERPLATE SET UNCOMMON

Vintage Yellow Carlton Ware Berry Drainage Bowl and Underplate Uncommon 

A superb example of the multi-coloured, flower-embossed Salad Ware.

The mark dates this set to the period 1935-1961.

The pear-shaped bowl is hand painted with a pretty spray of flowers next to a green handle. The yellow interior is embossed with both the rope and basket pattern. It is raised on 3 small feet.

The underplate duplicates the bowl's shape and yellow rope and basket weave pattern.

Both pieces show very little age-related wear and are in excellent condition, with no visible chips or cracks. There is slight discoloration on the underplate.
