Vintage Zeeta 9ct Gold Clasp

The oval, vintage, 9ct gold, tongue-and-box clasp is made by Zeeta, and supports a two-strand, artificial pearl necklace (65 and 68 pearls respectively; the pearls are round; 7.5-8.0mm diameter; light cream with good lustre; a very few pearls have damaged coating). The clasp is, however, designed for three strands and has a textured front and sides and back with piercing decoration. The clasp is marked "9CT; ZEETA". Zeeta is a jewellery manufacturer that operated in Bulawayo, Southern Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) in the 2^nd half of the 20^th Century.
