Vintage ZF KOLO Hand Decorated Reticulated Wall Plates - Made in Poland, Pink & Blue Floral Design, 24.5cm, Set of 2

Pair of vintage reticulated wall plates from the renowned ZF KOLO Faience Factory in Poland. Each plate is hand-decorated with a delicate floral design in soft pink, blue, and green hues on a cream-colored background, showcasing the artistry of Polish pottery. These plates measure 24.5 cm in diameter and are marked with the ZF KOLO triangle stamp, indicating production between 1951 and 1990.

The plates feature a beautifully pierced rim, making them ideal for display. While they exhibit some grazing upon close inspection, they remain in excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks. These unique pieces reflect the rich history of the KOLO Faience Factory, established in the 19th century and known for its exceptional craftsmanship.

Despite facing numerous challenges, including near destruction during WWII and nationalization in 1945, the factory remained a significant player in the ceramics industry. It was later known as Zakłady Fajansu Koło w Kole (Faience Factory "Koło" in Koło) before merging with another ceramics factory in 1963. Production continued until 2008 under various names, including Janpol and Stanpol.
