VINTAGE VIOLET BLUE SAPPHIRE AND DIAMOND RING.

This combination of sapphire and diamonds in a cluster design is one of those classic timeless designs that always holds its glamour! This lovely ring features a single brilliant cut oval violet blue sapphire. There are two 3.5mm round darker blue sapphires on either side. Together the sapphires total 0,32 ct. The entire ring head is framed by 8 x 1.25 mm natural diamonds. The shank of the ring is yellow gold (9 carat) and the diamonds are set into a white gold frame. The shank of the ring is a single band at the back that splits into a loop on each shoulder. The ring is quite a large size (just under 9) and although solid gold, it is a slender shank. Its a vintage piece and the hallmarks are really difficult to read! I can make out the mark for 9 carat gold and interestingly, the jeweller signature for Pascoes, a well-known jeweller brand in New Zealand that goes back to 1906.
Its a particularly pretty ring and the sapphire has the most beautiful violet blue colour! Ive had the ring checked by and independent jeweller and the certificate for R10'165 will accompany the ring. The ring comes boxed in the gorgeous velvet-lined ring-box shown in the photograph.
