From ; viscountdown.com ; During the fiercest period of the Rhodesian Bush War, the war two Air Rhodesia passenger aircraft, laden with civilians including women and children, were shot down from the sky whilst en route to Salisbury, Rhodesia. They had been relaxing from the stresses and strains of the continuing terrorist war, from the holiday resort in the north of the country.
Not only did these terrorists shoot down these aircraft with Russian made SAM 7 ground-to-Air missiles, abhorrent atrocities in themselves, but on the occasion of the first aircraft downing, they murdered 10 of the 18 survivors, shooting them and bayoneting them, including women and babies. The whole Country was demanding that the Security Forces put all their efforts into locating those terrorists gangs responsible.
Over 32 years later, it is now claimed in a book (Viscount Down) written and published by a former Rhodesian SAS soldier, (Keith Nell) that he was responsible for locating and causing the elimination the gang.........
