This piece features a multitude of citrines in a horizontal rectangular checkerboard design, set in solid 9ct yellow gold. The citrines are a particularly orange colour and complement the yellow of the gold perfectly. The overall colour of the ring is strong and vivid. Each round cut citrine is separated from the next one by a raised 9ct gold ball design sitting on top of each claw setting into which the individual citrines are set. It makes the ring head quite tactile - an almost textured feel.The solid shank develops a groove on the shoulders and twists under the finger so that it joins the ring head on the top left and on the bottom right. The shank has a solid and strong feel to it. The beautifully handcrafted piece weighs a hefty 5,07 grams and sits snugly and comfortably on the finger. Its a good size - 11mm wide x 16mm long and sits 5mm above the finger. The citrines have been jeweller gem-tested and the pedigree of the piece is indicated by the hallmarks that it bears: the jeweller's signature, the Birmingham Assay mark, 375 indicating 9ct gold and the date mark for 2009.
