1. If there is anything covering the fingernail e.g: nail polish, Henna or any other nail products, then the device won t be able to take an accurate reading since the principle of operation is by emitting a beam of light that needs to travel through the fingernail. A person would need to turn their finger sideways or remove the nail polish for the device to work

2. If a person s hands are too cold the device will not work, the blood circulation in the fingers is not adequate, and therefore the oxygen reading may not show correctly. People need to warm their hands to room temperature by rubbing them together.
