 Vintage leather ammunition pouch or military utility pouch, likely dating from the late 19th to early 20th century, potentially from the Boer War (18991902) or World War I (19141918) period.

Made from heavy, worn leather with brass buckles, both of which show signs of age and use.

This type of pouch was commonly belt-mounted or saddle-mounted for cavalry or infantry soldiers.  The quality and durability suggest it was military-issue. During the Boer War and WWI, soldiers were issued various personal and ammunition pouches like this for field use.
