Volcanic Rock Dust - 2.5kg

Volcanic Rock Dust is a organic fertilizer consisting of crushed basalt, a volcanic rock, which contains minerals and trace elements which has been ground into a powder. It is added to soil to improve fertility, increase the moisture holding properties of the soil and improve the cation exchange capacity.

Volcanic Rock Dust also provides Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Potassium as well as over 72 trace elements of nutrients, minerals and over 191 amino acids.

Application:

Dosage will vary as all soils are different.

Seedlings / new planting areas:

Sprinkle 100g per square meter over the exposed area and then mix in or rake lightly.

For faster results, mix with fresh or active compost:

500g per square meter or 1 cup per wheelbarrow.

General farming:

100g per square meter / 1 ton per hectare.

Adult trees (Citrus, Olive, Fruit, Nut):

Sprinkle 500g around the drip line then fork in and water.

Tunnel farming / shade cloth:

30g per plant in growing container or directly into the ground fed with an active liquid feed.

Worm farms / compost heaps:

For every 5cm of worm castings mix in a light sprinkling of Volcanic Rock Dust.
