The Volkswagen Race Touareg 3, driven by South African Giniel De Villiers and Dirk von Ziztewitz, succeeded by finishing second, with the whole podium dominated by Volkswagen; the class win to Nasser Al-Attiyah and Timo Gottschalk and third place to Carlos Sainz and Lucas Cruz, who were the previous year's class winners.
