VW BEETLE "ULTIMA EDICION" 2003

Limited Edition one of 1,500
In 2003 VW announced the end of production of the Type 1 VW Beetle, 65 years after its original launch and unprecedented 58-year production run (counted from 1945, the year VW recognizes as the first year of non-Nazi funded production). To celebrate the occasion, VW marketed a final special series of 3,000 Beetles marketed as Ultima Edicion (Final Edition) in Aquarius Blue or Harvest Moon Beige. Each car was fitted with, whitewall tyres, chrome bumpers, trim, hub caps and exterior mirrors, a Wolfsburg emblem above the front trunk’s handle, body coloured wheel rims, tinted windows and a rear parcel shelf with speakers. These features are visible on this stunningly detailed little model in Aquarius Blue, complete with radio antennae!
The photos unfortunately do not do the model the justice it deserves, and has to be seen to be appreciated!
