W & A.K. JOHNSTON'S MAP OF THE TRANSVAAL, ORANGE FREE STATE & NATAL

This map  of the Transvaal, Orange Free State and Natal  (including parts of Kharma's Country, Rhodesia, Portuguese East Africa and Bechuanaland)   includes the History of the War to date, and lists the Regiments employed in the Campaign.  This map is dated 1900, it is in colour, it does need attention as it has some tears on the folds due to its age, and it is a also a bit tatty on the edges.  Apart from the large coloured map, it also has a smaller map of Africa, South Africa and Northern Natal .     On the reverse of the map, is THE HISTORY  of THE TRANSVAAL, a LIST OF LORD ROBERTS' ARMY (Calvary Division) First Division, Sixth division, Seventh Division, and Ninth Division.  There is also the HISTORY OF THE WAR, including NATAL.  There is  a list of the CENTRAL CAMPAIGN, the Calvary Brigade and the Fourth Division.  A list of THE CAPE COLONY COMMUNICATIONS and lots more history relating to the war. Please note that this map does need some attention.  There is a very small (20c size) piece of the map which is missing, and this is in the  Rhodesian country - it does not affect any towns as it is in a land area.   Obviously this map has been used a lot as it does show signs of wear.  Postage will be R20-00
